IPRs are territorial, yet they can be international if the applicant chose to apply for the same in some designated countries through international channels.

  •  Name, address, nationality, nature of business, etc., of the applicant company.
  •   Power of Attorney notarized and legalized up to the Consulate of Oman or Apostille. (copy attached herewith) 
  • Copy of the Certificate of Incorporation of the applicant company, or an extract of its entry in the commercial register, along with a simple Arabic translation. 
  •   Electronic copy of the trademark (if it is not a simple word mark).
  •   List of goods / services, indicating the International Class. The complete list can be found in this link https://business.gov.om/portal/nice-classification

 No. A separate application is to be filed for each class of goods 

Approx. 7 to 15 working days.

Term of protection of a trademark is Ten years from the date of filing the application.

A trademark application can be opposed within 60 days as from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette
